TPED inspections
CNCIR CERT is:
- a body notified to the European Commission with the identification number “NB 2558” in the Official Journal of the European Union,
- RENAR accredited body for assessing the conformity of the products covered by Directive 2010/35/EU, certificate no. ON 032.
The TPED Directive (2010/35/EU – TRANSPORTABLE PRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE) applies to manufacturers, authorized representatives, importers, distributors, owners and users of transportable pressure equipment provided in ADR/RID.
THE TYPES OF EQUIPMENT FOR WHICH CNCIR CERT CARRIES OUT INSPECTIONS ARE:
- LPG GAS CYLINDERS;
- TECHNICAL GAS CYLINDERS; CYLINDERS FRAMES (BATTERIES)
- TUBES FOR TECHNICAL GASES;
- CRIOGENIC CONTAINERS, BARRELS;
- LPG TANKS ACCORDING TO ADR / RID;
- TANKS FOR TECHNICAL GASES ACCORDING TO ADR / RID;
- THEIR REINFORCEMENTS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES (if applicable).
EVALUATION PROCEDURE;
- TYPE APPROVAL;
- AUTHORIZATION OF THE INTERNAL INSPECTION SERVICE;
- INITIAL INSPECTION;
- PERIODIC INSPECTION;
- INTERMEDIATE INSPECTION;
- EXCEPTIONAL CONTROLS;
- REASSESSMENT OF CONFORMITY;
ACTIVITIES RELATING TO INSPECTIONS:
- Documentation analysis;
- External inspection;
- Internal inspection;
- Hydraulic pressure test;
- Sealing pressure test;
- Verification of reinforcements.

- LPG bottling stations, owners/operators of cylinders, barrels, tubes with “p” conformity marking;
- Technical gas bottling stations, owners/operators of cylinders, barrels, tubes with “p” conformity marking;
- Owners/operators of tank vehicles, tank wagons with “p” conformity marking;
- Manufacturers of transportable pressure equipment and their reinforcements;
- Water supply companies, which perform water treatment with chlorine.
CERTIFICATION POLICY AND REGULATIONS
The CNCIR CERT certification body treats all requests submitted by the owners/operators of transportable pressure equipment equally.
